How to Become an Entrepreneur Podcast
How to Become an Entrepreneur Podcast: My Journey from Developer to Indie Maker
The Beginning of My Journey
I was once in a high-paying job as a developer. It was a comfortable life, but deep down, I felt a nagging urge to create something of my own. The corporate world was not fulfilling my creative desires, and the monotony was eating away at my passion. So, I made a bold decision to quit my job and dive headfirst into the world of indie making.
Why I Started the Podcast
Quitting my job wasn’t easy. It came with its own set of anxieties and uncertainties. I needed an outlet to express my thoughts and feelings, which led to the birth of the Wannabe Entrepreneur podcast. This podcast started as a way to vent my frustrations and share my experiences. Little did I know that it would resonate with so many aspiring entrepreneurs out there.
The First Venture: A Climate Change App
My entrepreneurial journey began with a climate change app. I was passionate about the cause and hoped to make a difference. However, the app failed to gain traction and made no money. It was a tough pill to swallow, but it taught me valuable lessons about market demand and user engagement.
Building a Community
Not one to give up easily, I pivoted to building an entrepreneurial community. At its peak, this community was generating around 500 euros per month. It was a modest success, but more importantly, it connected me with like-minded individuals and opened up new opportunities.
Meeting My Co-Founder and Creating PodSqueeze
The turning point in my journey came when I met my co-founder. Together, we developed PodSqueeze, a tool designed to help podcasters streamline their content creation process. To our delight, PodSqueeze reached $5,000 in Monthly Recurring Revenue (MRR) within the first three months. One year later, we are proud to say that we are now at $15,000 in MRR.
Sharing My Knowledge
Through the Wannabe Entrepreneur podcast, I share everything I’ve learned on this journey. From the technicalities of podcasting to the emotional rollercoaster of entrepreneurship, I cover it all. Additionally, I interview other makers and entrepreneurs from diverse backgrounds, providing a wealth of knowledge and inspiration for our listeners.
My Podcast Publishing Flow
For those interested in the technical side of podcasting, here’s a glimpse into my workflow:
- Recording: I use Logic Pro for recording my episodes. It’s a powerful tool that allows me to edit and polish my recordings to perfection.
- Show Notes and Clips: After recording, I upload the audio file to PodSqueeze. This fantastic tool helps me generate show notes and video clips effortlessly. If you’re a podcaster looking to streamline your process, check out PodSqueeze’s Podcast Summary Generator and Podcast Clip Maker.
